All of the products listed on the Preston’s Butchers website are subject to availability and we reserve the right to add or remove products according to demand or supply. In practice we can usually supply everything on the site, however occasionally not all of the products listed will be available all of the time. Some products are seasonal (for example, game birds), some require further hanging or preparation time to ensure optimum quality, and some are just such hot sellers that we may have temporarily sold out! If we cannot fulfil an order, in part or in full, we will use our judgement for any substitutiions based on what you have bought and to be of the same or a higher £ value. Sometimes we will contact you to discuss but this is subject to time contstraints plus the unsociable hours in which we cut your order (3am starts!). Please note – under the current lockdown situation re CV19 our home delivery service is inundated and it simply isn’t practical to call you to dicuss substitutions. If you are unhappy with any substitutions we have made please call us on 01752 3401010 to discuss. We may ask you to return goods to one of our shops and we will exchange or refund.
Please don’t forget there are real people behind this website. We are a small business of 10 people & we arent dealing in widgets! These products require skilled Butchers to produce them.
Please call us on 01752 340101 if you would like to discuss the products or your order in more detail.
Where sold by weight, products are listed in grams and kilograms. We have provided weights in pounds (lb’s) also, but for information only. All weights are approximate. For guidance, 2.2lbs = 1 kilo; 1lb = 454 grams.
Most of our meat, cheese, fruit and vegetables etc products are sold by weight. The average pack sizes and prices quoted on the website are intended as a guide only and marginal variations may apply. If your order is for a specific weight we take payment for that weight upon order. As these products are individually cut and/or selected there will be small variations in weight above or below the weight you specified. Hopefully you will understand that whilst we are very skilled at our jobs, it’s almost impossible to cut to the exact gram hence the need for a 10% tolerance. As it is impractical to collect small additional payments or process small refunds we will guarantee that any weight variation never exceeds more or less than 10% from the weight ordered. As a result orders delivered within this 10% weight range will be deemed complete.
All prices are quoted in £ pounds sterling and include VAT at the appropriate rate (if applicable). However, nearly all our goods are zero rated for VAT purposes. Our VAT registration number is .
Prices quoted on the website are subject to change and are indicative only. If we have mistakenly under priced a product we will not be liable to supply that product at the stated price: we will contact you to notify you of our mistake and amend your order for your confirmation.
We make every effort to provide true and accurate images of our products, but please note that these images are for illustration purposes only and do not necessarily exactly represent the actual products ordered by you.
To order online, simply select and add items to the basket with your required quantity; when you have finished shopping and your basket is full click on the “Proceed to Checkout” button. You will then be taken through the contact details and payment screen on a secure server.
By placing your order on our website you are agreeing to these terms and conditions. You will receive by email an acknowledgement of receipt of your order with a unique order number, which should be quoted in all communication with us (should you need to). Back at our shops we will ensure that we can fulfil your order and dispatch the goods to you or prepare ready for you to collect. The simple automatic acknowledgement of your order does not constitute a contract between you and us. A binding contract of sale of goods between you and us comes into effect upon the time of dispatch of the goods.
If applicable you will be advised whether or not an appropriate substitute product is available; you have the right to reject any substitute. Acceptance or rejection of substitute products does not occur until we discuss the options by telephone or communicate and agree by email.
Orders will only be accepted if there has been no material error as to description or price. We reserve the right to refuse to process any order and this is at our absolute discretion.
